A)  1 donum per person or married couple; area is 1,338 sq meters

Q)  What is meant by TRNC Title Deeds?

A)  Any title deed given after 1974 including for properties originally owned by Turkish Cypriots as well as those originally owned by Greek Cypriots

Q) What guarantee do I get when my property is compete?

A)  The guarantee of the TRNC state as well as the guarantee or the solutions(s) will be provided within the political solution to the Ctyprus problem (As there were in the proposed Annan Plan)

Q)  What are stage payments?

A)  Stage payments are instalment payments towards a final completion of the sales prive of the property

Q)  What, if any, are safe title deeds to buy?

A) The safest ones are those originally owned by Turkish Cypriots.  With regard to other properties the safeguards are as mentioned in Paragraph 3.

Q)  What if the builder goes bankrupt?

A)   The regulations have been tightened with regard to the building companies so as to reduce such risks, however, as in any juristiction of a country, if a company does go bankrupt civil cases can be brought accompanied but interim orders to e issued by the domestic court following an ex-parte application to preserve the property/status-quo as well as any other movables or immovables belonging to that company to secure the buyers rights or protect his interests.

Q)  Do I need to make a will or will an English one cover me?

A)   It is advisable to make a separate will regarding the property/interests in TRNC

Q)  What compensation may be due on exchanging title deeds?

A)   Whatever rights or compensation is going to be included in a political solution
